Submissions
If your child would like to submit something to the Neighborhood News, you can drop off pages in a dropbox we have on our porch at 70 E. Southington Ave in Worthington. I made some guidelines for submissions, but I will re-type them here
There are no "rules" exactly on what you choose to make. It can be actual news. It can be comics. It can be similar to other things we've done before, but even better if it's something completely new that's your idea. Be creative and have fun!
Submit on 8.5 x 11" white printer paper. Please don't write right up to the edge because there's about a half inch margin on the printers.
Please limit to a max of 2 sheets (like one front and back) so we can have space for everyone to submit.
Write dark enough. If you write too lightly, the printer won't pick it up.
Put your name on the page somewhere so people know who made it!
Pages usually look best if they're a mix of text and pictures. Just pure text is boring for the reader.
Color is great, but too much color is asking too much of our printers and is expensive, so please limit color.
Maybe give a text before you submit something so we can coordinate what is needed for the next edition. We ended up with 2 covers once because of lack of coordination.
Call, text or e-mail me at 614-598-3709 if you have any questions. Or even better, stop by my house and we can discuss over coffee!
